Tyvek® material - Workwear production - Antibacterial protection
Tyvek® material is a high-tech non-woven membrane material
Tyvek® material — this high-tech non-woven membrane material produced by the world-famous American concern DuPont. The basis of the material is millions of ultra-thin polyethylene fibers, which under the influence of high pressure create a strong and light layer with many microholes.
The unique structure allows the material to "breathe", so Tyvek® not only protects against bacteria, viruses, solid aerosols, acids, alkalis and radioactive particles, but also provides workers with a reduction in thermal load and comfort throughout the working period. day
Branded material Tyvek® 1422A has certificate of conformity to DSTU EN14126:2008, which guarantees protection against viral, bacteriological and chemical agents, as well as sanitary-epidemiological Tyvek® material for sewing workwear that meets all safety requirements.
Description and benefits of Tyvek® material
Tyvek® fabric produced by DuPont has no analogues either in Ukraine or in other countries, it is protected by a patent and is fundamentally different from protective materials produced in China, Turkey, etc. Tyvek® material is unique in that it is made from polyethylene, not polypropylene, so it is thinner and lighter, yet more elastic, strong and flexible. Its main characteristics:
- High strength to tearing and abrasion at humidity from 0 to 100%, which allows the material to be repeatedly folded without reducing the strength at the bends.
- Waterproof - the material retains its properties in dry and wet conditions, while allowing moisture vapors to escape freely.
- Chemical resistance. Tyvek® is made of 100% high density polyethylene and is inert to most concentrated acids, alkalis and other chemical elements.
- Abrasive resistance. Crown treatment allows printing inks, coatings and solvents to be more effectively fixed on the surface of the layer.
- Opaqueness, which is achieved due to numerous refractions of the thinnest fibers.
- Dimensional stability material in a dry and wet state.
- Lightness. The weight of Tyvek® clothing fabric is 2 times lower than films of similar strength.
- Environmental friendliness, availability of recycling and ease of disposal of Tyvek® allow to reduce environmental pollution.
High performance Tyvek® is stable in the temperature range from -75 to 118 °C. At a temperature above 118 C, the material begins to deform, and above 135 C – to melt.
Fields of application of Tyvek® 1422A
But in connection with the current situation, the main importance of the material lies in its high antibacterial barrier properties, which allow the production of protective suits for medical workers. Also, due to the absence of fluffy fluff, Tyvek® overalls are suitable for use in "clean" rooms:
- biochemical and pharmacological laboratories;
- hospital boxes;
- food and cosmetic industry.
Tyvek® is a versatile multifunctional material that combines the features of paper, textile and waterproof film. This allows it to be used in a wide variety of industries:
- oil and gas;
- atomic;
- chemical;
- medical;
- in the field of mechanical engineering;
- food production.
Tailoring of protective antibacterial clothing
Special work clothes are presentedstrict requirements. It should have high protective properties, be hygienic and hypoallergenic, and at the same time provide comfort to workers, since they have to spend many hours in overalls. Tyvek® material meets all the criteria it should meet fabric for sewing workwear with antibacterial protection:
- protective suits and overalls;
- dressing gowns;
- shoe covers;
- armbands;
- cap;
- The fabric can also be used for sewing backpacks, packages for various products, etc.
A significant difference and advantage of Tyvek® from other fabrics used by Ukrainian PPE manufacturers is that it certified according to the Ukrainian standard DSTU EN14126:2008, which in turn corresponds to the European standard EN14126:2003, IDT.
This certificate is a prerequisite for participation in state tenders and export of protective clothing to Europe. Therefore, after lifting the ban on the export of personal protective equipment overalls made of Tyvek® it will be possible to supply to European markets.
In the online store YUASAFETI you can buy Tyvek® fabric, manufactured by the Dupont concern, which is ideal for the production of antibacterial personal protective equipment.
